Windows doesn't include many Internet tools, so you have to look for third party applications if you wish to perform certain operations, like NS lookup, whois and so on. This is where eToolz comes in. The application has a wide range of tools to offer, for executing the aforementioned commands and much more. Its simple and intuitive design enables any user to perform these operations, regardless of experience.

eToolz is offered free of charge and it comes in a professional edition as well, which is not free, but it includes more features. You don't have to undergo a lengthy installation process to have the application up and running. All you have to do is extract its files from an archive and run the executable.

The available tools are organized on separate tabs, on a compact user interface. You can use them to perform usual tasks, like a DNS lookup, pinging or tracing an address and so on. It is also possible to check a website's page rank on Google. All you have to do is specify a domain name, host name or IP address, but you can also tick a few options to resolve host names, verify IP addresses, set package sizes and more.

Other tools can be used to check the validity of email addresses, break down mail headers and check their lines for plausibility and to check HTTP headers. The software can also query the host computer. It can retrieve a vast range of information, including IP and MAC addresses, tunnel interfaces and much more. Another useful feature is the possibility of synchronizing the system time with one of many NTP servers.

Pros

The application provides a good number of Internet tools. You can ping websites, perform whois queries, trace routes and much more. All operations can be prepared with only a few clicks and the results will be displayed almost instantly.

Cons

There are no obvious drawbacks to mention. You can think of eToolz as a handy toolbox, which can be used in numerous situations.
